ABOUT US
Jazz966 was launched in 1990 by the Fort Greene Council's Chairman, Sam Pinn (a serious Jazz enthusiast), as a cultural arts program for the agency's senior population.
Every Friday night, September through June, JAZZ966 presents a wide range of musical formats including straight - ahead jazz, big band jazz, hard bop, cool jazz, the blues, classic soul, R&B, Afro-Caribbean and Afro-Latin jazz.
One of the foremost jazz venues in the city, jazz966 attracts people of all ages who come to enjoy the city most talented musicians in an affordable and enjoyable setting.
