Fort Greene Council recently had the privilege of participating in the "Grandparents Take THE MET" event, and it was a day to remember! Our older adults took over the Metropolitan Museum of Art, immersing themselves in a world of creativity, culture, and connection.
The event was filled with exciting activities that engaged our participants on multiple levels. They explored breathtaking art exhibits, delved into thought-provoking discussions, and even created their own masterpieces. It was truly inspiring to witness the energy and enthusiasm as they interacted with the art and shared their perspectives.
A special thank you goes out to THE MET, Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, and the NYC Department for the Aging for making this experience possible. The day was filled with joy, learning, and community, and our older adults are already looking forward to more cultural adventures.
At Fort Greene Council, we strive to create meaningful experiences for our older adults, and this event at THE MET was a shining example of the power of art and culture to bring people together. Stay tuned for more events like this as we continue to promote engagement, learning, and a sense of belonging for our community members.
Thank you to our partners!
